I make everyday useful things. Much of my work is strongly

influenced by Western North Carolina craftsmen and instruction at Penland School of Craft.

Working in clay was a near lifelong interest for me. One of those activities that was always admired, but never attempted.
Finally, after retirement, the opportunity arose. So here I am with 18 years of training and practice, only to realize that I have just touched what can be done.
Having Annie join me in this hobby several years ago opened many new paths, most not yet really explored. Our recent efforts at collaborative works already show promise.
We have been fortunate to attend Penland School of Crafts in NC many times. An extraordinary experience !

The shape and form are what matter to me.

Only an already  pleasing pot can be enhanced by

the addition of  decoration and color.
