The complete process takes about two weeks. 
First the new clay is prepared for use..then the piece is made as a slab

or wheel creation..natural drying follows...

then the first (bisque) firing for about 8 hours to 1850 F.
Application of glaze is next, followed by the final firing for completion.
Another 8 hours and about 2200 F.
Dinnerware items are then dishwasher and oven safe.
All clays and glazes are food safe and non toxic

Sometimes....we use a small gas kiln for raku and similar work.
